The Russian psychological assistance platform PsySovet.ru experienced a targeted link spam campaign during July. The incident affected the decade-old resource, which maintains a high commercial significance index in Yandex search results.
Spam Content and Target Selection
The unauthorized insertions featured recurring profiles labeled as psychologist Grigory, each paired with casino ranking lists. While the provided screenshots display a single affected article, the platform processed a continuous stream of identical entries. The site’s ten-year operational history, specialized medical focus, and elevated Yandex IKS rating driven by user activity, reviews, and fresh content likely determined its selection for the campaign.
Current Status and Search Indexing
Platform moderators have already removed the spam entries from the live website. Google’s search index continues to display the content, reflecting standard crawl update delays. Highroller documented the incident and noted the possibility of subsequent spam waves.
